TSS is currently undertaking a series of intensive trials with police forces in the region and expects to be able to announce a major order for its mobile RadarAutoVision system later this month.
“In little more than a generation the region has witnessed a major transformation in its infrastructure with hundreds of miles of new motorways and trunk roads,” said Julian Cooke, International Sales Manager for TSS.
“The fact that countries in the Middle East tend to be towards the top of road death and injury league tables has also resulted in a pressing requirement for improved traffic management, particularly when it comes to addressing excessive and inappropriate speed and other, potentially, dangerous driver behaviour.”
And while they’re spending the money, they want the latest kit. “They have the opportunity to bypass older analogue systems and go straight to more flexible and capable digital CCTV solutions,” added Cooke.
