Mango announces wireless partnership
Mango DSP said the decision to integrate its Raven HX 104 Intelligent Video Server with the WMBS was taken in response to growing customer demand for wireless network integration of video processing technology.
Under the new arrangement, it is hoped that current and future users of ICI’s WMBS will be able to turn standard analog cameras into “proactive sentinels” that deliver reliable high-performance video streaming and content analysis.
“ICI’s ongoing product design strategy is not only to provide the highest level of performance and device flexibility, but to address the real needs of the end user device management and maintenance in the products themselves,” said ICI’s President and CEO Brian Casto.
“This entire product platform was created to be maintained by the municipality’s own workers and to use existing resources. The capability that the Mango DSP Raven HX-104 based module brings to this market is truly impressive.”
The modular platform of the WMBS has been designed to accommodate future technologies through the use of industry-standard hardware. According to Mango DSP, it will allow end users to ‘hot-swap’ device modules while maintaining network uptime.
Baruch Peled, Mango DSP’s CEO said the partnership with ICI Networks represents another step towards delivering intelligent video solutions regardless of the state of networks and the environment.
“We believe that the joint solution will be adopted by the market’s leading integrators requiring wireless infrastructure,” he said.
