New course for head door supervisors
The BTEC level three award in door supervision team leadership is the first universal opportunity for those in the door security sector to progress beyond basic job training and the requirements of SIA licensing.
Accredited by the examination board Edexcel, the course has been specifically designed to improve the skills of managers and supervisors who are responsible for operational door security teams at licensed venues.
On the two-day course students will learn a wide range of skills such as radio communications, grievance procedures and bomb awareness. Other areas of study include emergency planning, risk assessments and post incident support.
All hopefuls will be required to sit an exam, demonstrate practical skills and must either hold a valid SIA door supervisor’s licence or have successfully passed a nationally-recognised level two award in a door supervision training programme.
Successful candidates will receive one year’s free affiliate subscription to Conflict Professional and an Edexcel-accredited certificate.
