Tyco Fire Protection Products has launched a new open protocol fire detection solution which integrates a range of detectors and ancillary units with both conventional and addressable panels.
The FireClass portfolio includes the Duo-Cel conventional two, four and eight-zone panel and Prescient 3 gas suppression control panel. Addressable panels such as the FireClass Lite, a single loop panel, can be configured in minutes with straightforward quick-start guide, says Tyco. The FireClass 32, 64 and 240 are provided with ‘feature-enhanced zonal capability’ and ‘auto learn’ functionality to recognise all devices in the FireClass range.
Flexible manufacturing enables different system requirements to be met, says Tyco, including the integration of network cards and additional input/output points. The FireClass range is also supported by a wide portfolio of ancillary products, accessories and field devices for addressable panels and detectors.
“Innovation and product development are central to our business strategy,” said Ken Walters, sales director for FireClass, UK. “Building on our experience in the fire detection industry, we’ve taken a new approach which provides our trade customer base with a complete brand that integrates proven technology and robust, reliable products that are easy to use. With FireClass, we’re able to offer fire system installers and integrators a complete solution that enables them to rationalise suppliers, saving time and cost during the installation and configuration phases.”
The FireClass range is being launched initially into the UK and Ireland markets, with plans to roll out to other parts of Europe during 2012 /13.
