Nexus-generation retail monitoring

EAS Distributors has launched the Nexus 24Gi from Cross Point in Holland. The wide aisle RF EAS system uses 8.2 mHz hard tags (disposable or reusable) and adhesive paper label tags, such as those carrying bar coding, pricing or product information.

The system includes a built-in people counter to monitor shoppers entering and leaving a store. This provides the retailer with footfall, management and marketing information, as well as health and safety data.

Graphic panels slide into the pedestals on both sides, making use of their prime, in-store, advertising location, and allowing retailers to promote products cost effectively or give store layout information to customers.

The sleek aerial/pedestal design carries a number of alarm options and can be connected to a Cross Point IP based integrated loss prevention platform for web based access.
