No more damaged screw stress?
The Welsh firm say they have developed an innovative tool that quickly removes damaged screws, leaving the surrounding area intact. They claim their inventively named ‘Damaged Screw Remover’ will put an end to hours of frustration for installers, saving them valuable time.
The tool, said to be chemical and gunk free, works with a hand drill in reverse mode. Ploughing into the head of the damaged screw, it aims to pull it out without damaging the surrounding area. The tool should cut into the screw head and unscrew it in one swift movement.
The reusable device is said to fit into any standard 3/8 inch variable-speed power drill and be 1/4 bit compatible.
CK tools say the parts come in a portable blister pack, with two sizes per pack. One removes screws in the size range 6-10, and the other removes screws in the size range 12-14.
Nicki Elkin, Brand Manager, C.K tools, said:
“Damaged screw heads are the frustration of many a tradesman. Attempting to remove them with a screwdriver can result in unnecessary damage to the surrounding area, causing delay to tradesmen and costly repairs.
“Our new Damaged Screw Remover has been designed to eliminate this frustration and quickly and efficiently remove damaged screws, saving tradesmen both time and money.”
