The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) has become the first ‘Third Party Certification Body’ to inspect and certify companies installing various types of fire systems under a voluntary, modular scheme for Fire Protection Systems, launched by the British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE).
The scheme provides a means by which fire protection system owners, users and regulatory authorities can be confident of companies’ level of competence in their field.
Seven companies, including Bell Fire Ltd, CS Todd and Associates and Wessex Fire and Security took part in a pilot scheme and received their certificates at the scheme’s launch in London.
