OCS aims to offer improved alarm monitoring services with Iris Secure Apps
UK security services company OCS says as a result of the change, they are now able to offer customers “improved intruder alarm and access control system management”.
“We have ambitious plans to grow our operation and Chiron’s alarm signalling technology gives our customers some important benefits that they don’t get with any other system,” said OCS business unit director Michael Webb.
“With this more powerful solution, not only can we provide full reporting and data on all aspects of their alarm monitoring, we can ensure that the signal is highly secure, and we can offer significantly better value-for-money than they would get with the old fixed-line services.”
OCS’s NSI Gold approved National Support Centre is one of the UK’s leading alarm monitoring facilities and Iris Touch and Iris Secure Apps provides them with a fully integrated IP alarm transmission and monitoring package that combines independent certification with a variety of operational benefits and advantages, Chiron says.
Easy installation
The Iris diallers are easy to install – no specialist IP knowledge is required – and fit a wide range of both new and existing ‘legacy’ alarm panels.
Chiron claims Iris “is now Europe’s best selling, IP/multi-path alarm transmission solution, served by 233 ARCs and with more than 55,000 units in the field in 31 countries”.
“There was an enthusiastic response from alarm monitoring centres and security installers when we launched IRIS Secure Apps last year,” said Chiron’s Claire Brown.
“The system has been praised for its ground-breaking focus on what alarm signalling users really want – in particular making installation and maintenance more robust and efficient and helping reduce costs – with the introduction of the Remote Service App last month this enables remote secure panel upload/download, thus reducing field engineering costs.
“Chiron’s project team is focused on realising more benefits for monitoring centres, security installers and their customers.”
