State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Olympics presentation now available online

The document, which features information on the procurement process for work at the 2012 Games, is available to everyone who expressed an interest in the original information day on the 24th October.

An Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) statement said the ‘extremely high level of interest’ in the event had left it unable to accommodate everyone that wanted to attend.

The presentation introduces companies to the challenges posed by the Games before setting out the ODA’s vision for security. The hope is to create “an integrated security environment that is effective, discrete and proportionate”.

Interested companies can also find out about the organisational structure of the Games and the eTendering process that will allow them to submit applications for work online.

Companies will be assessed on a wide range of factors, including their experience of delivering projects, the quality and functionality of their solutions and their overall capability.

Opportunities are available for companies across the sector including suppliers of:

Perimeter fencing
Access control,
CCTV,
Security lighting,
Intruder detection,
Security guarding and;
Command, control and integration systems

All of the opportunities for work at the Games will be advertised on the eTendering website, where companies can sign up for a free e-mail alert service.
