OnSSI software used by StarDot cameras
“The impressive performance of StarDot’s megapixel cameras ideally complements OnSSI’s approach to IP video surveillance control and monitoring,” said Gadi Piran, president and CTO of OnSSI, which specialises in open architecture IP-based video surveillance software solutions.
StarDot cameras can be integrated with OnSSI’s ‘push’ technology, which is said to enable advanced video analytics whilst minimising the amount of bandwidth required.
OnSSI said a “send on motion only” mode means StarDot cameras use 70 per cent less bandwidth than other megapixel cameras. Offering resolution of up to five megapixels and featuring a digital zoom, the cameras are said to allow critical identification of individuals and incidents.
Vance Kozik, product manager at StarDot Technologies said, “The combination of our high resolution megapixel cameras with the OnSSI system control solution is very exciting.
“OnSSI’s digital PTZ controls for recorded video allow customers to take full advantage of the resolution of StarDot cameras. With this feature, a single StarDot camera with a wide angle lens can effectively do the job of three or four conventional video surveillance cameras.”
