State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Optex Europe launches wire-free perimeter detector

The BX8ONR, which comes with a range limiting function and advanced temperature compensation technology, has been specifically designed to protect building perimeters.

With an effective range of up to 24 metres, the PIR system aims to detect intruders as early as possible.

“When used for intruder and stand-alone applications, the BX80NR can utilise a range of generic transmitters which can be housed in the device,” said Paul Nicholas, the company’s sales manager.

He said the device can also be coupled with the company’s Redwall WF100DT transmitter and WF100CU receiver to control cameras used for onsite or remote monitoring.

Although largely for external applications, the wireless detector can be used internally with other devices to form a sequentially confirmed alarm condition.

Featuring patented double conductive shielding, the detector aims to offer white light immunity while reducing the number of false alarms.
