Panasonic appoints Director of Sales
The newly-created position is effective immediately and DeStefano will now report directly to company President Frank DeFina.
“We are pleased to welcome Jim to our team,” said DeFina. “His extensive experience in the security industry made him the right candidate to help Panasonic meet our objectives as well as raise our sights.”
In his new role, DeStefano will be hoping to generate demand for the company’s products, including Panasonic’s i-Pro IP range. He will aim to drive growth through the creation and implementation of sales programmes and strategic alliances.
DeStefano has over 20 years of experience in security team leadership and business development. In his last role as Manager of Global Security at GMAC Financial Services he oversaw security operations for more than 950 offices worldwide. He also worked as Director of Sales for an unnamed North American integrator.
He is said to be a popular speaker at security seminars and conferences and a published author of industry articles. DeStefano also holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
