Partition walls for seafood facility

[

Firemaster Panels from Eurobond have been installed in a new Macrae Food Group facility in Livingston, Edinburgh to provide a non-combustible internal partition.

Developed for the construction of non-loadbearing internal partition walls, the panels offer durability, versatility and up to four hours fire resistance. Three types of wall panel and a ceiling panel make up the Firemaster range, all with interlocking joints for ease of installation.

The new site at Livingston is part of the Young’s Seafood business. Approximately 12000m2 of Firemaster panels have been installed consisting of 100mm thick Firemaster wall, 100 thick Firemaster wall extra and 150mm thick Firemaster ceilings.

Paul Walmsley, from contractors Central Insulation Limited, said: “Eurobond Firemaster products met the high performance requirements for the project and the 1 hour and 2 hours fire rating required by local authorities and insurers.”

All Eurobond’s composite wall panel systems are manufactured with a Rockwool core material classified as A1 non-combustible under the Euroclass reaction to fire classification.
