State of Physical Access Trend Report 2024

Paxton and DM bring integration to the masses

Paxton Access has teamed up with Dedicated Micros to give users access control with CCTV in one piece of monitoring software.

Paxton’s Net2 networked access control is being integrated with DM’s NetVu Connected DVRs.

It means users can locate a specific event, such as an alarm or a forced door, and view what happened, from one integrated application.

While Net2 logs each access event, all associated images are saved to a NetVu Connected DVR. The CCTV images can be viewed directly from the Net2 software by clicking on the camera icon next to a specific event.

Paxton says up until now integrated security has been the “privilege of the select few”.

But the collaboration of two companies that design “mass appeal” products has opened up integration to “a plethora of businesses”.

Says Adam Stroud, sales and marketing director: “The potential is massive … from your small medical practice up to large factory units and office complexes.”

He thought the combination would give installers “a tangible advantage” when submitting tenders.

“There’s also the potential to maximise each sales lead by installing the complete package and a genuine reason to visit existing companies with retrofit possibilities.”
