Police chief joins Memex
Peter Ship joins the company as an Intelligence Specialist with 30 years of police experience, predominantly investigating serious and organised crime.
His new role will see him providing advice and consultancy to Memex customers on how the private sector can adopt systems to help manage information and protect itself from corporate crimes like fraud and identity theft.
Ship, who has been awarded 10 Scotland Yard commendations, said that he worked closely with Memex during his time at the Met.
“By joining the team I get the opportunity to work in a new environment and help Memex develop its already established product even further for the specialist areas of law enforcement and support its move into new commercial markets.”
Memex’s software tools aim to enable the secure input, management, development, analysis and sharing of intelligence information across organisations. Using them, businesses in both the public and private sectors should be able to capture and direct the flow of information in real-time.
Memex have said that Ship will be working with their customers across both sectors to develop and design holistic intelligence systems that are tailored to their individual requirements.
