AES Drax Power Limited has upgraded the access control equipment at its coal-fired power station in North Yorkshire with Remsdaq’s StarWatch system. The system controls perimeter turnstiles, barriers and gatehouses providing vital mustering information during emergency situations. StarWatch fitted seamlessly into Drax’s existing IT systems while two sites not supported by the network were connected via wireless Ethernet LAN.
