A Concorde aircraft at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford is being protected by a wireless detection and alarm system from EMS.
The Duxford Aviation Society, which owns the historic aircraft, wanted a simple, unobtrusive form of detection for the inside of the Concorde, with the control panel mounted remotely alongside other fire detection equipment in the hangar.
The 5000 FirePoint analogue fire system is being installed by Global Fire Services. The FirePoint smoke sensors are based on established industry designs, have no external aerials and have built-in battery packs with a typical 5-year life.
