A resounding 75 percent of the IFSEC International audience said they will be able to travel to London quicker than it would take to arrive at the show’s former venue near Birmingham.
A new audience from the South of England, who had not previously travelled to Birmingham for IFSEC International, are also going to be attending the show at London’s ExCeL from 17-19 June 2014.
Organizers have also revealed:
- 56 percent of IFSEC International’s visitors are installers
- There will be discounted rates on transport, accommodation, and entertainment available
- A new “Plug and Play Zone” will allow installers to get hands-on with the latest kit of the showfloor
- 58 percent want to attend organized offsite visits alongside IFSEC International
- 42 percent strongly value face-to-face communication, and 55 percent say they are more likely to attend IFSEC International due to the increased amount of activities in and around the new London venue
The managing director of Manchester-based Keyways Security Systems, Michael Greaves, said:
IFSEC International is the major purchasing event in our year. It is a common forum for manufacturers, designers and installers to trade ideas, experience and contacts. London is a natural home for such an exhibition and I look forward to travelling down from Manchester to attend next year.
The dedicated Security & Fire Installer Live area will be supported by a wealth of training and education opportunities for all visitors, much of it following on from the successful Tavcom Training Theatre in 2013. Tavcom’s CEO, Mike Tennent, said the company was “delighted to be exclusively supporting IFSEC International London 2014… We’re truly excited by IFSEC International’s move to London, this is what the security sector has been waiting for.”
Commenting on what Security & Fire Installer Live presents for IFSEC International, Charlie Cracknell, event director, said:
We speak with installer businesses on a daily basis and are constantly ensuring that what we provide will benefit them throughout the year. As a destination where the installer community is able to interact, experience high level education and keep on top of the whole buying chain, Security & Fire Installer Live will prove to be a must attend feature area.
