Safetell develops adjustable screen for DDA compliance

The Eye2Eye security screen features a height-adjustable counter that can be positioned to meet the needs of individual users and is fitted with an induction loop hearing aid enhancement.

“Eye2Eye enables public service organisations to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to their customer service points in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act,” said a Safetell spokesperson.

Eye2Eye also features a deep scalloped counter edge and a recess for wheelchair footplates, which are important in locations with only one customer service position and where building work is undesirable.

The floor-to-ceiling counter can be secured either flush over an existing opening or recessed into it. Safetell claims the attack-resistant glazing keeps staff secure at all times by moving up and down with the counter, which can be electrically raised between 760mm and 1050mm by customers using control buttons on the ‘public’ side.

Other features include an active microphone/loudspeaker speech transfer and a button that allows customers to call for assistance.

Safetell offers installation services and various extended warranty and other contract options to provide support. To find out more, click here.
