Salford NHS contract for Urban Vision
Under the new GB pound 250,000, two-year agreement, Urban Vision will deliver 24-hour security for the first three centres in Walkden, Eccles and Pendleton, which alongside GP, dental and other primary health services, will provide improved community facilities, including libraries and ‘one-stop’ council services.
NHS LIFT is a pioneering scheme to encourage public and private sector partnerships to redevelop and improve community health and social care facilities. Alongside Salford City Council, partners in Salford’s Gateway project include Salford Primary Care NHS Trust and MaST LIFTCo, a partnership between Primary Plus, Manchester, Salford and Trafford Primary Care Trusts and Community Health Partnerships.
Additional remit
Urban Vision’s new contract, awarded by Salford City Council under a Gateway-specific Service Level Agreement (SLA), joins its other security remit for the Council, which covers all of its corporate buildings and properties.
Facilities manager Danny Hoy said: “Urban Vision has been providing security services to Salford City Council for many years; we work to the latest industry methods and meet the highest security standards, and with our dedicated SLAs provide a completely transparent, quality led approach.
“We are naturally delighted to have been appointed to the Gateways project and look forward to working with the Primary Care Trust, and their facilities team to develop a bespoke security service for the Council, the LIFT partners and the communities local to the new health centres.”
