Samsung has speeded up its programme to integrate its cameras, DVRs and NVRs with video management software (VMS) from independent companies.
Axxon, Aimetis, Digifort, Griffid, Ipronet, Exacq, Genetec, ISS, Milestone, Mirasys, ONssi and Seetec are now among the list of VMS development firms that Samsung has been working with because of their ability to offer ‘open’ software designed to join together equipment and systems from different manufacturers.
Tim Biddulph, Samsung Techwin Europe IP, product manager said: “Customers throughout Europe trust the Samsung brand and, with our ability to offer a one-stop-shop for analogue, hybrid and IP network based video surveillance solutions, they are quite often sourcing all their video product requirements from us.
“Working closely with VMS companies is very much a part of our smart security philosophy, which is primarily about making it easy for customers who are looking for a gradual transition from an existing analogue system to a full IP network based surveillance solution.”
