Sapphire keeps Government database safe
Sapphire has verified that the COINS solution from systems provider, Information Edge, which feeds into the main Treasury database, which contains a nine-year record of data relating to departmental budgets, is fully secure and meets Government Secure Intranet accreditation standards. Commissioned to carry out this brief by the DfT’s IT solutions partner, Computacenter, Sapphire was originally allocated ten days to carry out the project, but completed its work in just six.
Sapphire is listed as a supplier within the Government’s Catalyst framework, through Computacenter.
Computacenter recommended Sapphire for the project because it had gained certification from the Communications Electronics Security Group to provide network security consultancy to government departments wishing to connect to the GSI through the CESG Listed Advisor Scheme. The scheme creates a pool of high quality consultants approved by the CESG to provide information assurance advice to government departments and other organisations who provide vital services to the UK.
Sapphire is currently in discussions with Computacenter with a view to signing a formal channel partner agreement, a move which will give both companies the opportunity to expand their reach into new market sectors.
