Security industry invited to Olympic event

Firms from across the sector can attend the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) one-day meeting, where they will be able to learn more about procuring work at the Games.

Held on the 24th of October, the security industry day will provide prospective contractors with information on the security and safety demands of the highly-anticipated Games.

With a particular focus on the construction and legacy phases of the Olympic Park, the ODA is looking for companies that deal with:

Access control

To enable authorised personnel and vehicle entry into the Olympic Park construction site.

CCTV, IDS and lighting

CCTV, security lighting systems and intruder detection systems to be integrated with, and form a part of, the perimeter security.

Command, control, communication and intelligence (C3i)

Integration of a wide range of systems to ensure a coordinated and secure flow of information between command nodes and security systems.

Screening

Covering arrangements for screening at vehicle and personnel access points as well as vessels, trains and materials.

Security guarding and systems operation

Including the full range of security guarding services required for a construction project, including the provision of security guards and staff to operate systems.
