SignHear for verification

Biometric signature verification

Developed by Sign Assured, the SignHear signature verification device has the ability to ‘listen’ to hand-written signatures and then matches these signatures to a set of user templates in order to verify a specific person. In so doing it’s capturing information about the rhythm, speed and pressure points created during signing -information which is rich in features and difficult to replicate.

Additionally, the device ‘tracks’ how our signatures change over time and compensates for these variations. In fact, this is one of the prime advantages of SignHear in that its ability to adapt to the user and the environment make it suitable for most modern-day workplaces.

Using sound to capture the characteristics of a signature simplifies the complexity of the processing system considerably, enabling the price of this biometric technique to be highly competitive from a client’s perspective.

Fraudsters have copied – and so forged – the images of signatures from time immemorial. However, replicating the rhythm, speed and pressure points during a signature is much more difficult. It is this ‘unseen’ behaviour associated with signing which SignHear captures and deploys to verify its users.
