A one day seminar comparing small scale reaction-to-fire testing with large scale, multi-variable fire testing, will be hosted by BRE on Tuesday 4 December.
For some construction products, standard fire testing does not always give a realistic picture, says BRE. In such cases, large-scale multi-variable testing may be needed to check a product’s performance in a fire.
The seminar will analyse the limitations of small scale reaction-to-fire tests and standard fire resistance tests, and discuss the development of large scale fire tests for modern methods of construction, critical applications, third party certification and insurance requirements.
