Well, maybe it’s not. But it’s close enough.
The song is Never Click, by Medicine, and to be honest I chose it because it’s one of my favourite songs.
And I chose one of my favourite songs because this is my final contribution to the Songs About Security feature – a feature I started way back in May 2008, when it was all fields round these parts and your father worked 19 hours a day and we were happy, darn it.
In the ensuing three and a half years there have been over 180 Songs About Security, and it has spawned its very own dedicated page on I4S, as well as a small but loyal fanbase.
I’m off elsewhere in 2012, and I’m not sure what the future of this feature will entail, but it has been fun – if challenging, at times – to come up with a song each week that I could spuriously claim was somehow connected to the security world, or security-related current events.
So to everyone who has ever enjoyed one of these, or suggested a song, or just put up with it: thanks. I appreciate your indulgence.
