Based on the RX40 PIR series, the new detector incorporates not only Optex’s Quad-Zone-Logic technology but also an in-built Pet Tolerance feature to provide high performance even in high white light scenarios. It also features improved protection against masking caused by stock or displays being located too close to traditional wall-mounted detectors.
It provides wide angle – 85 deg – coverage with a 78-zone detection pattern. It measures 53mm in height and 137mm wide, and Optex says the sealed unit “provides excellent immunity against insect ingress and features temperature compensation (via the ECO chip), two or four pulse count adjustment, LED disable and a spherical lens”.
