Standalone voice system

[

Baldwin Boxall has redesigned the Vigil Eclipse wall-mountable voice alarm/public address system. Despite its smaller size (measuring only 480mm wide x 200mm deep x 680mm high) the Eclipse2 has the capacity to handle up to seven single or four dual circuit zones.

Its new routing matrix brings features such as parametric EQ on all eight inputs and seven outputs; ambient noise sensing; auto amplifier changeover; USB2 port (allowing system configuration/message revision via a laptop); fault and history logging; realtime clock – and many more. The unit also houses one 2U amplifier mainframe, providing space for the power supply and two amplifiers from Baldwin Boxall’s Vigil2 Class D range.

As with all of the company’s voice alarm products, the Eclipse2 simply connects to leading fire alarm panels, via the internal fire alarm interface.

Fully BS5839 part 8 and EN60849 compliant, it is powered by a 230V ac 50-60Hz power supply and comes with battery back-up.

The unit is suitable for a decentralised network with the ability to link up to 128 units, or it can also form part of a larger Vigil Evas voice alarm system.
