SWS: putting up the shutters

Perimeter protection

Security shutters

THE THORPE PARK BUSINESS Estate in Leeds has been the target for several attempted thefts and acts of vandalism, but these days the criminals aren’t having it all their own way – thanks to a dual project launched by distributor Sterling Security Shutters and manufacturer SWS (UK).

One company on the Estate had been the victim of two break-ins, and then turned to SWS. The company’s SeceuroGuard 1000 gates were applied to the windows at the rear and sides of the building. Gates were also fitted to the front of the building. Criminals have since been captured on CCTV attempting to break-in with paving slabs, but were unsuccessful!

SWS (UK) products – which have recently received ‘Secured By Design’ approval – are currently being used by the West Yorkshire Police Special Crime Squad to protect the front of the organisation’s own premises.
