For its fashion garment distribution business in Europe, TNT Fashion Group operates through a new Euro Hub warehouse facility that relies entirely on Pelco surveillance products to provide full security cover throughout the site.
Designed and installed by Chester-based integrated solutions specialist MAC Vision, the CCTV system includes eight Spectra III domes for all external surveillance. Inside the massive warehousing complex are a further 22 static CC3710H digital CCD colour cameras. All cameras are linked to two DX8000 digital video recorders within a central control office, and are connected to the internal network at TNT (enabling authorised managers to access the system at any time).
Jon Webster – security manager for European operations at the TNT Fashion Group – told SMT: “The DX8000 units and cameras have greatly assisted in the day-to-day operation of the site. Key operational managers now have immediate images to review.”
