In response to market demand, the Diploma has been given a complete overhaul, and is now available as a 100% assessment-based qualification.
As The Security Institute’s flagship qualification, the Diploma is internationally recognised and offers security managers the opportunity to update their skills and improve career progression opportunities in what is now a competitive sector. The qualification benefits any practitioner seeking professional recognition and qualification within the security sector at managerial level.
The course is delivered by Perpetuity Training on behalf of The Security Institute. It has been developed with continuous learning in mind, such that there are no written examinations. In short, the Diploma is assessed on the basis of written assignments (two per module of approximately 500 words apiece).
Five mandatory modules
There are five mandatory modules: understanding security, threats to security, risk management, the legal system and general management theory.
Enrolment takes place throughout the calendar year, with the course commencing three times each year. It’s ideally suited to those professionals who wish to study in their own time, or for those who currently find themselves working outside of the UK.
