Thomas Knoop, programme manager at Philips Lighting in the Netherlands, joins the trade organisation to help it develop standards for street lighting.
After a temporary placement Jan Brissman, technology manager at TAC in Sweden, also becomes a full time board member. He is described as a critical member of the technical standards team, offering invaluable input to the board.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to advocate more priority on the future development of the technology managed by Lonmark in my new position as board member,” Brissman said.
“There is a world of knowledge and ideas in many of the people I have met so far, which gives me confidence that even greater things can be accomplished.”
Ron Bernstein, Lonmark’s executive director, said the organisation is working towards the global awareness of green building processes and renewable energy.
“I am certain that we will take full advantage of the wealth of experience both Thomas and Jan will bring to Lonmark,” he said.
“I am delighted that both have accepted these positions.”
The new additions replace former board members Wayne Lambert and Joel Thome.
