TDSi, of Poole, Dorset, designs and manufactures a range of access control products that includes patented infra red card and reader technologies.
Alun John, Chief Executive of Upperpoint said: "Our CCTV manufacturing subsidiary, Baxall, has invested heavily in developing products to service the rapidly growing networked video markets as well as the more traditional analogue based systems.
"The acquisition of TDSi provides us with an excellent product range, distribution network and a first class development programme.
"Each of the businesses will focus on its own speciality. But they will co-operate in developing common IP-based products, which will be designed to satisfy the emerging market for integrated access control and CCTV solutions."
