Urmet integrate Paxton reader into new S-Steel door entry panels

Urmet have replaced their stainless steel door entry panel range, K-Steel, with an updated range called S-Steel.

K-Steel was the first modular stainless steel, vandal-resistant panel to be IP45 and IK09 rated.

The new range is smaller and cleaner looking that its predecessor, and has added a new integration feature with Paxton’s proximity panel mount readers.

Urmet’s sales and marketing director, Mark Hagger, said that they added integration with Paxton’s system following pressure from their customers.

He said: “[Our customers] kept on asking us whether it was possible and in the end we decided to make the changes at our factory in Italy.”

Accessibility features

The LED’s around the camera on the panel can now be disabled so you can permanently power the camera to record the image via a CCTV system.

Urmet have also added new voice commands such as ‘speak and ‘door is open’ to improve accessibility of the product.

The S-Steel door entry panel is compatible with the following Urmet technologies:

  • Analogue
  • Digital
  • 2Voice 2wire
  • IPervoice IP systems
