Videoswitch celebrates over IBS upgrades for Co-op

The company’s Vi series DVRs were used at the heart of all the systems in the Co-op’s north easern region.

IBS, based at Blaydon-on Tyne, chose Videoswitch DVRs after market research by IBS’s Ian Stoddart, who said “The safety of Co-op staff is at the top of our client’s priorities and so there is no way they would wish to compromise on security”.

The DVRs offered all the functionality required “but at a price that made it cost effective to install in all 100 sites.

“From an installer’s point of view, the Videoswitch DVRs’ removable hard drives are a great help as it means we don’t have to take a unit away for servicing.”

Phil Willsmer of the Co-operative Group, said they had found the units “reliable, low cost to maintain and very user friendly for our staff in stores.

“We have also found IBS to be an excellent partner in the North East, with their enthusiasm and commitment to customer service delivery being exceptional.”

With the continued growth of IBS, the company has moved to larger premises at the Addison Industrial; Estate, Blaydon-on-Tyne.
