Vista’s VID detectors cut nuisance alarms
The VID range uses “Adaptive Threshold Discrimination” technology to reduce the number of nuisance alarms.
This works by averaging background noise and adjusting the alarm sensitivity threshold to suit site conditions.
Other false alarms, such as those commonly caused by air turbulence, are also eliminated by Double Curtain technology which rejects any signal received at the same time by the unit’s two curtains.
Condensation inside is prevented by temperature compensation which allows it to work in extreme weather conditions, says Vista.
Vista divisional director, Mark Pritchard, said VID has low maintenance and running costs. Added to Vista PowerDome and Smart video transmission, it meant they now offered a “full solution for external video surveillance and detection “.
