The wire-free dome sounder is the latest product in product in EMS Group’s VoicePoint family to be powered by alkaline batteries. This completes the transition to an off-the-shelf battery solution for all EMS Group’s fire and voice sounder field devices. VoicePoint sounders are part of EMS Group’s well-established 5000 FirePoint radio analogue addressable fire alarm system.
The VoicePoint family includes a range of stand alone voice message sounders and the Fire Sensor/Voice Sounder. This provides a solution for applications such as hotels and hospitals where a fire detector and sounder are required in every room. The need for fire rated cable is eliminated, enabling each field device to be fitted in less than 10 minutes without damage to the building interior or disruption to normal business operation. Up to four pre-recorded voice messages are stored in the sounders and activated from the system controller. These voice messages are combined with the traditional fire alarm signal to help remove any confusion often associated with traditional alarm signals.
The VoicePoint family will be one of the many products on show at International Fire Expo along side the full range of EMS Group’s wire-free advanced radio based systems for fire, security, evacuation and staff protection with location facilities.
