On that basis, four Videoswitch VI 405 DVRs have been installed at the celebrated home of Surrey County Cricket Club – two in the matchday Security Control Room, and two in the Gatehouse located at the Hobbs Gate entrance.
All four DVRs are networked and, collectively, they record the video captured by 54 cameras (a mixture of PTZ and fixed dome units). Videoswitch keyboards enable operators to remotely control both the cameras and the DVRs.
England’s scheduled Test Match against New Zealand beginning on 25 June will be the first major opportunity for the upgraded recording system to show its true potential. The system was installed by CCTV specialist IC2 (UK) Ltd.
