I4S video: LILIN’s Jason Hill on the NVR Touch solution

LILIN’s ability to draw on a decade of DVR development experience and incorporate its accrued knowledge in HD IP technology has resulted in a powerful new recording solution for IP cameras: the NVR Touch.

Capable of recording 16 simultaneous IP camera streams at a maximum resolution of 1080P while displaying those streams – in real time – on a VGA or HDMI monitor really reflects the powerful processing capabilities of this device (which, by the way, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Security Innovation of the Year category at the 2012 Security Excellence Awards).

A substantial recording capability has been built in (with a potential 24 Tb of storage). H.264 ensures maximum compression efficiencies for HD streams.

For the end user, there’s simple exporting of audio and video recordings to a USB device or integrated DVD. Alternatively, the Back-Up Manager application allows back-up to a defined network location.

In this latest I4S video (below), LILIN’s group vice-president Jason Hill talks exclusively to Brian Sims (media solutions manager for UBM Live’s Security and Fire Portfolio) and explains the thought processes behind the product, as well as its likely impact on the wider security business sector.

Jason also addresses the development roadmap for LILIN in the immediate future.
