The 9000 range is priced only slightly above the company’s hugely successful 8000 family of MPEG-4 based products and delivers higher quality video compared to 8000 based systems, with a typical reduction of 20 to 30% in bandwidth and storage requirement. This means H.264 solutions can in some cases be more cost effective than MPEG-4 systems.
This strategy will see price reductions across the 9000 family of products, including transmitter/receiver modules, Network Video Recorders (NVRs), and the company’s popular range of fixed and PTZ IP Dome cameras.
