Norstrom appointed to National CCTV Strategy board

The board is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the National CCTV Strategy over the next 12 months. Published in December 2007, the strategy is a result of a wide-ranging review of CCTV and its applications in the reduction of crime and in public safety

Norstrom is head of the BSIA CCTV Section.

Commenting on her appointment Norstrom said: “The recently published strategy is an important step forward in developing a holistic approach to the specification, deployment and governance of CCTV technology.

“This is particularly critical given the increasing application of CCTV across the UK to identify and apprehend suspects in the ongoing battle against criminality and the threat of terrorism.”
