NVT to show expanded UTP Hybrid Video range at IFSEC

Joining the comprehensive range of NVT UTP Hybrid Video transmission products, the new StubEQ Active Receiver Hubs combine savings on valuable equipment racking space, utilising NVT’s ‘Digital EQ’ technology, the company says.

With standard 19-inch rack-mount dimensions of 1U high but just 1-inch deep (8 and 16-channel versions), the new StubEQ Active Receiver Hubs provide the transmission of real-time camera video at distances up to 600m using Cat5 UTP cable and an NV-653T Active Transmitter.

Available in 8 (NV-842), 16 (NV-1642) and 32-channel (NV-3242) versions, the hubs continuously and automatically compensate for cable attenuation, and ground loops, independent of video signal image – meaning no video equalisation adjustments are necessary, NVT says.

Active Receiver Hubs
Also on show will be NVT’s range of standard 8, 16 and 32-channel ‘Digital EQ’ Active Receiver Hubs, in addition to the NV-4PS10-PVD 4-channel Power Supply Integrator Hub, designed for smaller camera count installations.

For use with NVT NV-216A-PV / NV-218A-PVD transceivers, or new NV-226J-PV Video Transmitter 12VDC Converter, the NV-4PS10-PVD is a key hybrid component that consolidates CCTV system cabling and provides low voltage camera power at distance.

Ideally located within an IDF/Telecom room, the wall or desk mounted NV-4PS10-PVD negates the need for cameras to be supplied with their own power outlet – saving time and money.

Complementing the NV-4PS10-PVD is the new NV-226J-PV Video Transmitter 12VDC Converter, a passive video transmitter combining a 24/28VAC to 12VDC converter. Designed to fit directly on to the back of a 12VDC fixed camera, this unit converts 24/28VAC power from NVT’s PVD Power Supply Hub or Cable Integrator, while delivering real-time baseband (composite) video at extended distances over standard Cat5 UTP cable.

Innovative products
As with all NVT products, the new additions provide interference rejection, allow video and low-voltage power to coexist within the same single 4-pair cable, carry a Lifetime Warranty, and are UL and cUL listed, and CE, RoHS, and WEEE compliant.

Steve Proctor, NVT’s sales director, said: “NVT are looking forward to an exciting IFSEC 2009. With our expanded range of innovative UTP Hybrid Video transmission products, including the new StubEQ Active Receiver Hubs, we’re offering installers and specifiers an unparalleled choice of high-performance, cost-effective UTP video transmission solutions.

“The deployment of NVT’s Power, Video and Data products is yielding significant savings, superior image quality and consistency of interference free camera video in surveillance system installations across the globe.”

NVT will be located at Stand B55, in Hall 5 at IFSEC this year.
