The WV-NF302 day-night fixed dome network camera and the WV-NP304 day-night network camera have a 1.3 megapixel CCD.
Said to make identification of people easier, the cameras also boast much finer image detail and “superior colour reproduction”.
The NF302 dome has a built-in 2.8-10mm varifocal lens and the NP304 is without lens.
Equipped with a proprietary digital signal processor, the cameras can provide images of 1,280 x 960.
They can transmit MPEG-4VGA (640 x 480) images at up to 30 fps or use dual streaming to combine video monitoring of MPEG-4 with high res JPEG recording.
Making it easier for the installer, cameras have a Focus Assist function enabling accurate focus adjustment.
The 1/3 inch progressive scan CCD captures moving subjects with “minimal blurring without tearing problems” and Adaptive Black Stretch improves dark area visibility without degrading bright areas.
Panasonic says a clear image can be captured in poorly lit, dim conditions with minimum illumination of 0.6lux in B/W mode and 1.5lux in colour.
Images are automatically backed up with an SD memory card. In the event of a network problem, images can be played back and checked.
To accompany the megapixel cameras, Panasonic has launched a high performance network disk recorder and a high definition video decoder.
The WJ-ND400 high performance network disk recorder is designed specifically to meet the needs of megapixel camera recording where high data and large storage capacity is required. It has a 500GB HDD and eight additional hot plug HDD slots allowing up to 4.5TB HDD to be installed in the main unit. Expansion of 27TB can be achieved using five optional expansion units.
The WJ-GXD400 multi channel high definition video decoder can decode MPEG4/JPEG image data from the i-Pro camera range for control from multi-operator positions.
