The company called in ioimage to install ‘intelligent’ cameras, encoders and software to prevent theft of vehicles and auto parts and keep people out of restricted areas.
The system monitors the entire 20,000 sq m perimeter surrounding the garage, sales centre and offices.
It includes active IR detectors, an inductive fence, recorded cameras and Command Center central management.
Nir Tamim, security officer at Hertz, said the system had already proven itself by detecting several security breaches.
It has also resulted in a “significant reduction” in false alarms and “enabled us to cut down on the number of night guards,” he said.
