A team of four friends are claiming to have set a new record of 41 hours, 1 minute playing darts continuously in pairs at the Cecil Arms pub in Saltash, Cornwall. In the process they raised money for Parkinson’s UK and a local charity.
In order to help verify the claim, Plymouth based Securi-Guard lent them an Avigilon high definition CCTV system to record the event. Engineer Adam Callaghan even went to the pub prior to the event to set up the equipment so they could use the footage to prove how long they played for.
Andy Warne, one of the fundraising team members, said:
“We obviously needed to be able to capture the whole event on film so we could prove we had set the new record and this equipment was perfect for the job.
“I cannot thank Securi-Guard enough for lending us the necessary equipment for the event. They even took time out to arrange for Adam to come down and set it all up for us, which was tremendous.”
